It's all ok guys. If you watch these documentries they all end in "Tragic consequences". These tragedies are teh restoring force. Billions of humans will die, the earth will heal itself, and the world will start all over again but with slightly better technology.

The biggest polluters on the planet are the USA and CHINA.
I don't think we can have a clearer atmosphere now,it's a bit too late.

China are almost the biggest polluter, but they are also the ones feeling the impact the most and they are one of the countries addressing the problem with some force.
This is one of those wierd dichotamies and quite complicated, but I'll give a very quick explanation as to why.

By being a communist state they have to be self reliant, that means they have to feed, give jobs and medical support etc for their people. All from within China.

When they build a steelworks in the middle of the countryside, it pollutes the regional air and water systems and that screws with agriculture and health.
Just looking at health, it means the government has to start spending money on medical bills for ill health from poor air quality.

Outside of China, people are responsible for their own medical bills, but in China, where the state pays, it suddenly becomes in their interest to ensure the population is fit and healthy. They may pollute, but then they have to pick up the human cost.

Pollution has a financial cost somewhere (in this example, in medical bills). In most countries this cost is pushed onto consumers, but in China, where the government has to pay for everything, they are feeling environmental impact in their wallet.

Blatently obvious facts that any bonehead could put together, the fact that these scientists are thinking so hard about it that they're only JUST NOW realizing the clouds shield and reflect sunlight or that clouds thicken with pollution, doesn't -exactly- make me want to believe them.

Sounds like a Silent Spring style dropout of college who has no money so they need to make a lot of it fast, what better way than to say you attended this prestige university and make doomsday theories?

on to part 3, but so far i'm not impressed. too many other factors that could or are contributing to the 'problem'.

Actually look at the facts they present instead of listening to thier over dramatized rhetoric and saying "ZOMG!!".



If you actually process this crap with your brain you can see that they're just trying to make things seem all "gloom and doom" and scare the crap out of you without presenting much, if any solid evidence.

Criticizing China's enviromental policies based on their political structure is about the most childish and pathetic thing ive ever heard. If a chinese person drives to work in a car, and ANYONE else in the world drives their car to work, they are both equally responible for this climatical change. Granted, China may well change its enviromental policies based on the buget for medical expences, but at least they'd do that. If the states found out that the Katrina hurricane was caused by this "global dimming" do you think the Bush administration would change their policies? I doubt it. Bush would tell you that your addicted to oil, juck up the price 15-20 cents, and say FUCK YOU!
