I wonder if when we have a huge sudden dying off of plantlife and mammals will all the republicans will still just call it part of the natural cycle of life.. Just like carbon dioxide....

I'm sure the coral reefs in the caribian that has been there for thousands of years dying off all of a sudden in the last few years is nothing to worry about...We should just buy ourselves some Hummers and not worry about a thing.

That's crazy we lost approx 15% of the sun worldwide, and the climate is still warming slightly... if we weren't riding all the jets around causing global dimming we would all be baking like fried eggs... holy crap that's fucked global warming is 10X worse than we ever thought.

This is why we all need to take responsibility for the planet ourselves by changing our own actions. Here are a few suggestions:

a) Recycle - in my neighbourhood it's possible to cut down your weekly trash by half using council recycling bins, although many people still don't bother! More recycling means less landfills and less pollution. Lobby your local government if neccessary to get recycling scheme in place.

b) Buy a more economical car.

c) Take the car less, share rides, or use more public transport. Walk or bike (as a last resort for the lazy!)

d) Vote for a green party. Lets face it, most parties are shit, and ultimately do more or less the same thing once in power, so vote for a party that has green policies.

I fear a lot of people who are alarmed at this video will just say "OMG this is terrible" and then just go about their lives, not realising that they are actually the problem. If everyone makes small changes like a few from above, then we can do something about global warming.

I live about 70 Miles from NYC and on Sept 12 '01, I was in an English class and I remember looking out the window, while the teacher was lecturing in Mythology crap, I was just dozing off staring into space and I was wondering why the sky was so crystal clear. It was crazy, I mean not a single cloud, nothing in the sky. Just pure blue.

Actually this program is a bit old. Since 1990 it has been recorded that the trend of "Global Dimming" has reversed, due most likely to the banning of Aerosols and lessened use of them. Contrary to the thought that increased CO2 gases was causing global dimming.

CO2 and Global Warming however is a completely different argument. Cheers!
