I disagree with the whole rip-off thing.
There's probably many techniques for this trick, notably the velcro thing... But there's this performer I know of Arturo Brachetti : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arturo_brachetti

This dude changes from tuxedos to huge bulky costumes. You can't rip out a tux to become suited in a big ass costume :P

Welll our faimly watched this in tv, we were on awe, and we start thinking how they did it, i pointed out it must be something with overlap clothing, for when using ring with purple stripes, women cloths bottom changes, but top didn't change yet, very nicely done trick i must say, it reminds me of mask dance of japan magican, magiacian pulls strings which will move mask into the clothing, and keep chnging over and over about 20 times every time he dance behind the mask. i wonder if it is same concept....?

What you described Zwaterz is quite similiar to a chinese version of that mask changing illusion, only that there are many thing layers of that mask on the face and it requires skills to peel them off very fast.......

But to this people changing clothes....... I guess they have the basic concept as those illusions and worked around it to create another type :/

its amazing, but if you look at the scene with the ripped purple ribbon thing, you can see she already changed into the purple outfit before it came down, and the magician always has one hand behind. though, i can't possibly figure this out. im stumped 5/5. just amazing.

Anyone else notice her hair changes from Black to Blonde ? A different person maybe ? Although thats insanly easy to spot and a good performer would realize this error.

At the end though, if you look before he throws the confetti, her hands are up high grabbing the dress. As he pours the confetti down her hands quickly move, but you cant see anything else because of said confetti.

As for the whole "They're taking the clothes of and have clothes underneath" theory, how would they do that when about 50 seconds in, she changes from a piece of clothing thats kinda like a swim-suit with no space for clothes beneath, into a dress thats way longer?

at between 51 and 55 seconds u can notice the guys hand pulling away from her and if u look closely u can see he dress change as he pulls away his hand
