Tsar Bomba

This is the actual Tsar Bomba footage of the Russian test in 1961. To date it is the largest nuke ever tested, 50 megatons. Although the US claims it had spy devices that measured it at 57.The scariest thing is the actual design was capable of 100, it had to be scaled down for the test to be 'safe'.

I've watched another documentary on this bomb, The Czar. Interesting stuff.

But, I like the idea of America's RNEP's (Robust Nuclear Earth Penetrators). The ultimate "bunker buster" that will allow a nuclear explosion underground.

Out of sight, out of mind. This is how nuclear weapons will make their way back onto the battlefield.
