I think its wrong to put your hands on a woman, but I find that commercial funny because I didn't see that shit coming. Now the part I don't get is the two other people sitting there not saying shit. I think part of the point of this is that too many people are apathetic. The two people who witnessed this represent the countless individuals who are either present during abuse or know about abuse occuring, yet make no action towards rectifying it.

I agree completely that it is morally wrong to hit a woman for any reason, but at the same time I feel it is morally wrong to classify women as things that are here to serve us ("pleasure us and produce our children to carry on our names"). I say this not only as an atheist, but one who does not condone the lesser treatment of fellow human beings. They were not 'put here' by a higher force (in my opinion, at least) to do things for a greater being of the same species, but instead they are here as our counterpart. Yes, they are here to help propogate our species, but as a human being with an active conscience, I feel that they should not be treated with the approach you have used.
