I use a PC at home, and Macs at school (i got to design school).

I have many problems with Macs. I hate them.

^^ Lol, how many of these complainers have actually ever worked on a Mac? I'm a grtaphic designer and work on both mac and pc, both have pros and cons, it's just a different way of working, if you try to work a mac like a pc you're a nitwit.

PC owns Mac on games, but MAC defenitly OWNS PC on multimedia. I'f you don't believe me you don't know what you're talking about and probably never realy worked on a Mac.

Mac is totally not user friendly! If it was user friendly, people who uses PC's most of their life wouldn't have a problem moving to a Mac :) that's just how it is ^_^

I use both platforms. Windows and mac. Being in the design industry, you guys should be aware that close to 80% of all professional creative work is done on a mac. Merely cos it has better processing power. The reason why windows is so popular, well its cheap .To me windows is like a car on pimp my ride. Do whatever you want with it, it doesn't matter cos it was affordable. The mac on the other hand, is a specialized tool more-so for creative work. Both platforms work equally great in their own domains.

As for viruses, if the mac was as cheap as a pc, mac users would be complaining about it more often. Thats the truth. Same case for unix and other OS's.

So will those who're picking sides just shut up about it? Like any other tool, it's up to the skill of the user. If you can't afford a mac, don't bring it down, and if you think that mac's were sent from heaven, stop being ignorant to the fact that it's only as good as it's user.

I`ve got both a pc and a mac, specifically because I use MAC software for video editing etc and PC for games.

Tried using PC related software for editing but it blows the big one and most of the jobs I`ve applied for use MAC based software, or use Adobe products for the MAC as a MAC is fair better for that kind of thing than PC.

Never really tried MACs for games as I have a PC for that part, purely cos I don`t want anything to piss around with my editing work. I`ve never had my MAC crash or anything yet, and that`s even after 4 years with the same one, yes old so gonna need to get a new one soon. PCs are more vulnerable to viruses etc, there are problems with the MAC with that kind of thing but what ... like a 1% or some really small number.

Won`t really bag either one as they each have their purpose but some people who bag either one just have no experience with dealing with them. Took a while to get used to MAC but, for me at least, I pulled less of my hair out with my MAC than I still do with my PC, especailly since VISTA came out with every new PC and I can`t update anything bar Vista anymore and no one seems to know why. grrr.

Gee, why is it that I have personally experienced pretty much everything that guy has said even though I`ve never owned a Mac? That`s right Mac lovers, all of that shit happened to me just on the computers during grade school. I mean I know they aren`t very high end, but fuckin read a CD or open an image or visit a web site without self detonating please? Who on Earth haven`t lost data that they made sure to save because they know that the Mac would crash at any moment regardless if it was doing something or not?

Macs are just freakin terrible. If people say it`s better for editing then it`s probably just because it has damn near no programming that would preventing it from fucking up like a PC running Windows does. On top of that, they charge you over twice of what it would cost you to get a PC with the same specs why? For the shiny candy coated package thx.

Arguing that a Mac is better is just saying that the 90+ percentage of people who have tried and grown to prefer PC`s over Macs are the stupid majority. This is why Mac lovers are hated on, nothing more. I`m not even going to say that Macs have nothing to show because when it comes to design, I have to admit the Ibooks and the high end desktops are beautiful. But when it comes to practical value they fail horribly.
Citations: iMacs, iPhones, etc. And if you`re like me and hate using iPods you can also add it to the list.

One of the greatest reasons why I hate macs:

No fucking right mouse button. Using the left one is disastrous in itself, so perhaps this is why they passed on a right button.
