This is a real show, It's called 'Sunrise' and it is on the Channel 7 Network.

The Hosts are Melanie and David (Better known as Koche). Sunrise is Probaly the most watched Morning Program in Australia.
This is a couple year's back (1 or 2) because its in the old set.

But it's Real, Believe me! I remember hearing about this all over Network News. I had missed the show that day and was very dissapointed.

Theres no way in Hell Mel, Koche and the Team at Sunrise would do a 'joke' like that. It may be a very clever and funny news program, but that was not intentional...

They were expecting a Proposal, But they got that.

it aint fake, Sunrise would never, NEVER be in on a joke like this. This is a show targeted more at retiries and so there would be absoloutly no benefit in Sunrise being apart of this.

Looks like he must have said he was gonna propose prior to the show and then pulled this stunner.

Oh yeh, this guy is also one of the writer/actors for the Chaser which makes CNNNN which is posted on this site also i think
