A woman disguised as a man blew herself up outside an Iraqi army recruiting station killing 6 and wounding 30 in Tal Afar.
This is the first known suicide bombing by a woman in Iraq. Al-Qaida called her "a blessed sister."
"May God accept our sister among the martyrs," Al-Qaida said, without identifying her.
Authorites claim 200 militants were killed and 312 caught in Tel Afar Sept 8-12, but many escaped through tunnels. "Due to the security vacuum after the withdrawal of police commandos from Tal Afar, the terrorists came back," said a parliamentarian.
