im guessin the reason they used plastic so if it blew up it wouldnt do that much damage to them.........except for the plastic shards imbedded in ur face and throat

I think they use plastic cause these "supersoker" like guns are easy to use.

The main reason that things like that don't blow up is becuase there is too much preassure and not enough oxygen to burn.
