well the guy is a katana expert, but for this scene he tried to show how he could be lethal without his sword.

It is lethal because he can make you move anyway he wants you to. He can easily put you in a lock, make you fall onto a sharp object, you name it.

He'd obviously have an understanding of pressure points to be able to do something like that, so it'd be lethal in the fact that he could stab a pressure point and kill you etc...

pretty cool if you ask me.

I think i remember this guy, the reason he was an expert swordsman is that he was able to non-telegraphically attack/counter attack an opponent. So good that the ligement or tendon (not sure which) connecting his leg to his feet showed no movement at all even when he applied pressure on it.
