everytime I see one of numnums posts i feel compelled to comment. Blacks don't use racism for everything anymore than whites sleep with their own sisters and dress up in white bed sheets. less sweeping generalizations please.

that whole point is in relation to how being a caucasian male these days immediately puts you on edge with most people (even if it is only subconsciously). we are the rapists, we are the pedophiles, we are the racists, we are the sexist pigs, we are everything politically incorrect, we are scum. only those who sit down and talk to us as individuals care for us, because public opinion is that we have the majority of positions of power in the world, so it's just assumed we're the enemy and big bad guys who can handle themselves.

"numnums" just made this entire post in to something serious, this guy is joking about black people, i'm sure most white people don't have a shit if black people call them "cracker" or not .

Besides in my opinion i think black people can be a little racist if they want to be, considering the fact that they were beaten,lynched and god knows what else happen to them for 40 some odd years

I actually wish I was on the train next to him wearing my red shirt. "Cracker" on the front and "Dance Like You Can" on the back with a guy doing disco in the background.

It's gotten me a bunch of great reactions, and mostly from black people.

Awsome video, reminds me of a time i was in a gas station and three black kids came in and started acting all loud, and brought up like 7 things the the clerk and asked for prices on them all. then upon hearing the price for a bottle of soda said 98 cents!? pssh its cause were black. then they got on their bikes and left

The reason that white people don't get offended when they're called "cracker" is because they're proud to be white. It's not an insult. There's nothing you could say to racially offend most white people.

I think that the term "cracker" can really be offensive, because it has come to be a way of demeaning white people based solely on race. Since the word “cracker” doesn’t have the same type of history as “nigger” it isn’t quite as cutting, but just because it doesn’t have as much weight doesn’t mean it isn’t racist.
I don’t feel that because my great great grandfather may or may not have been oppressive of blacks justifies any form of racism towards me today. Actually my family is French, so my lineage didn’t oppress blacks to the same extent as in pre-abolitionist America, but I’m still the target of blanket racist terms like “cracker”. I didn’t oppress anyone, so why am I paying for the sins of others.
I just think there’s a double standard that should be recognized for the unfairness that it represents.
P.S. Spikedhumour is awesome, and I’m glad I finally registered.

I think that being racist to white people is impossible, white people have always been at the top of the food chain. We have rarely been oppressed and have always prospered in every place we go. Other races seem to be different?? Don't know why? Anyone?
