wow, i can't beleive i saw this agian. i went to Ireland in June of 2001 and saw this video about a week into the vacation. my family and i all agreed that this video should be played in the USA because it would get people to think twice about not wearing a seatbelt. well i think this is the next best thing as far as im concerned. im glad that the vidoe is on this site, now i can show all my friends what i was talking about for all these years. thanks

j/k i'm getting a Hayabusa for my 25th Birthday hopefully, I think a seatbelt on a Motorcycle would actually make it even more dangerous, but at least wear a helmet and protective clothing, jeans and pants don't make very good protection.

I always wear a seatbelt when I'm sitting in the frontseat, but, I must admit, I almost never wear it when I'm in the backseat, don't know why because I'm aware that it is as dangerous as in the frontseat.

I love it how people in thier feeble attempt to rationalize their obvious non-use of seatbelts try to discredit the commercial on the basis of the "realism" of the crash, or the fact that no real driver would ever do that. You know what people, if you dont want to wear seatbelts, go right ahead, but don't try to justify it to us. No one needs dumbasses like you anyhow and anyone who drives with someone like that deserves what they get as well.

Personally I wear a seatbelt whenever possible, mostly because it's habit and I'm OCD, but I know here in the states (at least connecticut) you don't need to wear a seatbelt if your in the back seat. Maybe it was just because he was already leaning into the middle of the car, but the drivers seat would normally have stopped him from flailing around as much as he did.

Ill be the lone defender of the problems of seatbelts (understand that i do in fact wear mine and agree that they save more lives than take, but)

Cases for a seatbelt being dangerous:

Car under water (off a bridge)
They can crush your ribcage if the force is strong enough
They can crush your throat also
Whiplash

Again, im not defending the idea NOT to wear one, just reminding some of you of another side of the argument (there need to be better safety measures overall)
