For people that live in cities where squirrels are cute and the old people feed them in the parks, in the mountains, squirrels are fucking rats. They're pests. They get into your attic, cupboards, pantry, chew through wiring, eat insulation away. Do you feel bad when you step on a spider, which is more useful than a fucking rat? Get a grip!

Man... poor squirrel. Before you attack me, I'm a texan and a martial artist. I have nothing against shooting pests... hell I've helped my dad shoot squirrels before. I've also had them as PETS before, and they make pretty damn good ones as long as you don't antagonize them into biting (trust me, that shit HURTS, cause a good bite can chip bone). I just have issues with the squirrel being left to die out in the snow with broken legs. That's far more cruel than getting blown into a bloody splattermark... at least that's nearly instantaneous. Laying in the snow for hours on end while its broken legs hurt, feeling the cold slowly eating into its little body... thats too cruel of a death.

I Love squirrels... great entertainment... and I doubt that this one was hurt badly. He probably ran off and was back in a couple of hours... chewing through those bastards cable just as they were going to have a marathon COUNTER STRIKE session only to find no intenet connect and no TV for the rest of the Winter.

Wow. We have some soft hearts here. Don't get me wrong, I totally agree, but wow. You don't hear this on any other posts.

As for the squirrel, those guys are nimble little critters (I've seen 'em fall out of huge pine trees and scamper away)... even though those launchers are powerful, I wouldn't worry about it. If it were a cat or something, ya... but a rubbery little squirrel? At least I'm hoping he's fine.
