Victoria`s Road Rules Have Changed

From 9 November 2009, Victoria introduced some changes to its road safety rules. The changes improve road safety and help make the rules more consistent across Australia. The changes affect all Victorian road users. There are new rules for child restraints, mobile phones and visual display units, U-turns and overtaking, seatbelts, parking, motorcycle passengers and driving with trams. It’s up to every road user to know them before they leave home.

new south whales have ridicules and unforgiving roads. so Victorians may seem like worse drivers because there a little less expectant of being cut off by a pregnant teenager at speed. doesn`t mean there worse, just less experienced dealing with shit people on shit roads

^ Man, Sydney runs like high speed liquid.

At least they told you about the new laws. We got some too, no one really knew about them until they started getting fines. And in the typical Queensland fashion, it`s mostly all revenue raisers. I got fined for driving with driving assist lamps on under the main headlights. Even though these come with my car as standard, apparently it`s dangerous and will fucking kill people. Ironically, it also makes the new `Extra Safety Package` for Commodores completely useless as they come with them too.

You can use them in fog though - which is just fucking amazing. You can also fart in a blizzard and witness a similar impact as these lights have in fog.

Ive had the fine for the driver assist lights on, at least in Queensland the revenue raisers seem to be pumped back into the maintenance and design of the roads, here in NSW its more likely to be used to hire child prostitutes and hitmen, with guys like Joe Tripodi in our government nothing would suprise me more than revenue raised on our roads used on our roads.

"When moving a parked vehicle to another parking spot, the driver must move the vehicle off the length of road, or out of the area, to which the parking sign applies"
This is such a joke, trams, parking, massive lanes that fit two vehicles or tiny ass lanes that only fit half. Melbourne has the worst driving I have ever seen, I am leaving in a week and am so sick of driving here that I plan to never ever return unless I absolutely have to. There I said it.

^I have driving in Melbourne all my life and never had a problem with "tiny ass lanes that only fit half" a car. Or are you honestly complaining that roads have massive lanes that fit two vehicles??

Trams, though: Spot on. Avoid those roads at all cost.

^Ok maybe i`m just pissed lol. But you gotta admit, driving in Melbourne is a chore for someone who has only lived there for a year. I nearly killed like 5 people when a tram stopped at a stop the first time. I mean no one bloody told me!
