When I was younger I tried to pray just so I could go to heaven because I was afraid. In the back of my mind I thought this is complete bullshit and very selfish of me to pray and go to church just so I could go to heaven...surely god can read minds if he can hear me pray! This caused me so much frusteration since as a kid I needed proof of things, and no-one could give me a strait answer. Then I found out there was tons of different religions and was like, oh shit i`m with the wrong guy that`s why I don`t like this. Eventually I stopped worrying about things liek this because I found out that santa claus and the easter bunny where made up and my parents lied to me. Then it clicked, and it clicked really hard. Santa was used to make me have good behavior or I would get coal, the easter bunny brought me more candy if I was a good boy....so why couldn`t the garunteed afterlife with god also be a sham to make me behave?
Well time passed and I realized being on good behavior for rewards was very selfish of me...I didn`t walk an old lady across the street to make her happy but because I wanted to go to heaven. I now see the rewards of being nice to people that I have god 99.9% out of my life.(besides random reminders) To this day I am unsure of if there is a god....even though the proof lies elsewear but let me say this. If god was in fact real, If I was him I would give people a test. Are you a good person because you believe in love and humanity or is it because YOU want shit for yourself? Ask yourself that for real, don`t lie to yourself either...eh what am i saying that`s what got so many people in this mess in the first place. LIARS!!!

De Moivres:
e^(x*i) = cos(x) + isin(x)
---> e^(pi*i) = cos(pi) + isin(pi)
---> e^(pi*i) = -1 + i(0) = -1

--> e^(pi*i) + 1 = 0.

^I hate to be a math Nazi, but I thought the equation you used was Euler`s Formula so I checked wikipedia briefly and

De Moivres Equation is (cos(x)+i*sin(x))^n = cos(n*x)+i*sin(n*x)

which can be derived from Euler`s

^ The problem with creationist arguments is that they often try to persuade people with claims that just cannot be proven scientifically. I have no problem if you want to believe in a god, Jesus, or whatever, but when you start saying that certain things are true and here is why, and then get upset with people who ask more questions aren`t satisfied with your answers, you bring it on yourself.

I can and will list reasons why it is not crazy to believe that we descendent from other species if you like, but by your comment I don`t think it will be productive because it seems you have already made up your mind.

I don`t speak for all atheists, but I don`t see it in terms of being right or wrong. Instead, I see it as what I can be reasonably sure of given the evidence worth looking at.

I would love to believe in an afterlife where I could spend all eternity understanding completely every single detail of every science with a bunch of my friends and my loved ones, but I have nothing concrete to base this on. I can tell myself over and over that when I die I will be with my best friends and we are going to learn Chemistry and Physics and Math and Biology etc.. and understand how the universe works, but no matter how much I say it, I have no reason to believe it, therefore I don`t accept it and I move on.

You won`t move forward or change anyone`s mind by attacking their beliefs constantly. Show tolerance, not constant, angry intolerance. And proving evolution does not disprove the idea of God. There are still many other questions to be answered, some that have not yet been asked. I feel the bible is certainly open to some interpretation, and think we all need to keep an open mind because nothing is as black and white as any of us would like to believe.


And what is with the title "Put up or shut up"? Is this the official competition? If the top creationist scientists don`t show up to this site to have a pointless comments page debate will you consider it a victory and celebrate? Congratulations.
