Maricopa County Sheriff`s Employee Takes...

A detention officer with the Maricopa County Sheriff`s Office is caught on tape swiping a document from a defense attorney`s files behind her back. Officer Adam Stoddard then hands the document to Deputy Francisco Campillo to make photocopies.

I have to hand it to her, very good defense attorney. She is actually doing her job. The judge is surprisingly patient, normal and "non powertripish", and the cops/guards are unsurprisingly corrupt like always. I found this pretty interesting, if anyone knows a follow up video or the result of this incident, please let me know. Thx

Well, the Judge although does listen through. But seriously, this isn`t something light enough to say "Ohh ok, well talk about it some other time". A deputy just tampered with evidence, in her face and the only thing she says is "Oh, well, we`ll have to explore this at another time."

A quick google for "Maricopa County Adam Stoddard" reveals a bit more.

Although this looks like quite a fresh incident as apparently another Judge (Judge Donahue) will be ruling today (5th November 09) on the subsequent contempt of court charges.

papers have nothing to do with court security .. if they did they would have examined them prior to entering the court room. the officer went snooping .. i dont understand why the judge didnt stop things when the officer moved behind the defense attorney.

couldnt find any current info on the matter, but i hope this officer is fired and held in contempt.
