You`re referring to Qigong; which has many hundreds of disciplines. Some forms claim Qigong to have healing powers which has no scientific backing other than it`s usefulness to relieve stress and maintain physical health. The particular version adapted by many martial artists is a form of meditative respiration that enhances the energy mobilization and stamina of the body in coordination. Once this state is mastered, a practitioner can achieve a meditative level that can replicate an uncanny physical durability. It`s a beautiful art when practiced and is even more beautiful when you begin to understand the history, psychology and other sciences behind it.

Everything has a scientific explanation... theres no such things as miracles and such as Delkam said. Chi doesnt exist, special healing powers DOESNT exist and most of all, they dont use a thing that doesnt exist in sports... its called trainning... (never saw someone as retarded as delkam...)

Otherwise I would be merlin and fly at the speed of light while nuke the earth with my eyes and cure aids.

The majority of people that practice Qigong don`t claim that they are able to start fires. I`ve never seen "bloody palms" associated with Qigong. Most people teach Qigong as a form of relaxation and controlled breathing through a series of movements..much like yoga. Another reason why people practice it is to preserve and celebrate the Chinese culture. There are many underlying meanings and philosophies within the movements. Really quite beautiful if you give it a try.

Debunking this type of Chi is like debunking WWE wrestling. I`ll play the role of Mr. Connor who will step in and say, "THAT`S NOT WRASTLINGG!" People who claim to be able to transmit powerful chi and label it "Qigong" are pretentious cunts who are hated by the rest of the practicing Qigong community.

I don`t think the video mentioned anything about Qigong. I was correcting Delkam, who appeared to be mistaken as to the type of discipline that martial artists incorporate into our training. Thank you for further elaborating on my paragraph in my original posting. I also agree, it really is quite beautiful.

The majority of chi videos are merely fabrications, yes, but chi does exist. Tests have actually been conducted where one person will block another`s chi flow while they`re being monitored (heart, etc.). Their heart will actually stop until the flow is unblocked. These tests have been corroborated numerous times. I remember even seeing one on the science channel or some other similar show.

Using one fabrication as grounds to refute its existence is analogous with those who planted UFO models in the houses of popular UFO video recorders in effort to destroy their credibility.
