Ron Paul: Vaccination Against Swine flu ...

The US vaccination program against swine flu is a failure, according to US Congressman Ron Paul. This is just one indicator of the governments inability to handle social problems, he says.

I`m pretty sure a private company was in charge of producing and shipping the vaccine. The government was just footing the bill. So even though i`m typically a Ron supporter and i`m skeptic about government healthcare....I fail to see how this is actually the governments fault. Maybe corrupt politicians giving the job to a second rate company?

The vaccines now aren`t quite the same as they used to be before, supposedly. But when you`re prepping to vaccinate you have to ask a few important questions, namely how contagious a virus is and then how potent it is (the 2 parts of virulence). If a virus is deadly but not very infectious, or if its highly infectious but not very deadly, you`re better off not vaccinating. From what I`ve heard/read from doctors, H1N1 is the latter. It IS very infectious, but its really not as deadly as the media says. Therefore you`re still likely to kill ore people with the rare side-effects of the vaccinations then the virus would kill by itself over the course of its run.

^ It`s the government`s fault because they gave priority to vaccine for the H1N1 flu virus and were more deligent about ensuring its timely supply.

The "social problem" is that the government is supposed to be wise enough to see past the media fearmongering and subsequent public outcry to realize that they should give equal or higher priority to standard flu vaccine, since the regular flu is still going to kill a lot more people this year than the H1N1 variety.
