lots of false information in here too. we dont live in a democracy, we have a constitutional republic. the president is not a seat of power, its the congress and senate that are supposed to have the power. pick up a history book, and turn off the fucking TV.

you`d be surprised how many people act out the wishes of people in roles of authority. E.g. look up the milgram Experiment.

& although you may be thinking a TV host is not really a traditional role of authority, in todays society & to his small clad of loyal fans it probably is, & that small percentage is more than likely to own guns & have a extremely paraniod personality, just like Beck-

And what is the concern, that Fox is going to start pulling in liberals and moderates?

When Fox News portrays itself as the one shining light in the sea of dark to its viewers, how does it look now? Its like the big, evil oppressive regime is killing truth. Furthermore, it makes Fox News seem like they`re doing anything worth attention.

The concern here is that we want to convince people that watch Fox that it is a terrible program. After all, why would we need to convince the people that don`t want to watch it not to? This is counter-productive. Not only that, but it sets the precedent for a future, conservative President to say, "Okay, we`ll bring in the one crew but you can`t give any of the footage to MSNBC. They`re not a real news show."

This is the guy that says `HIT ME, HIT ME!`, and then when you hit them they fall to the floor saying `OOoooh, help! He`s trying to kill me!` so they can sink your ass.

And if we MUST do something about Fox News, why not break their monopoly over the conservative base? Why not put out funding to found a new conservative media, one that caters to the more moderate side? Then you can start an internal conflict amongst conservatives for ratings.

Sure, you`ll have two, but the two will be at each other`s throats so often...

They bitch and whine when people spoke against Bush but now they think they are heroes for emulating the very tactics they condemned. If we as citizens do not do anything about this, they will eventually ignite a race war. It happened in Germany and other parts of the world where propaganda was focused with such hate and violent undertones. I have to deal with this bullshit everyday because some fucking dumbass is using the same FOX talking points for the day when you are trying to have an honest discussion, they cannot think for themselves and when you ask them why they believe in what they stand for they sound like fucking idiots.
