In one of the oddest corporate pairings, Microsoft and Burger King have joined forces in Japan to unveil the "Windows 7 Whopper."
The promotion, tied to the release of Microsoft Windows 7 operating system on Thursday, is a Whopper with seven beef patties that costs ¥777 ($8.50). The burger stands 5 inches tall, but will only be available for seven days.
Engadget
reported that the small print stated that in fact only the first 30 customers each day will get the burger at ¥777, the price will then go up to ¥1,450 ($17.10) for the privilege.
Tech blog Electronista noted that the stunt is part of Microsoft's effort to turn around its public image.
