I think i lost a lot of respect for AVGN in this video. I was 7 when I had an NES so i missed out on a lot of games and haven`t been able to compare my experience to his reviews. That said I beat castlevania 3 when I was 7 and the final lvl was easy.

He says that you have one life on Dracula? Not quiet, you have 1 life per character... so 3 lives. There`s no way to dodge the fire beams on his first phase? Pretend the blocks on the ground are numbered... the fire walls will pop up on numbers 1 and 5, you stand in the middle while whipping boss, you`ll see the fire bolt coming 2 secs before it shoots up and it only takes up one block, so you just need to walk one black to the left or right when you see it.

2nd phase when he is dropping the blobs you just stay to the edge of the screens, he floats back and forth so there`s no getting hit unless you run under him.

3rd phase sections of the floor float around... just don`t fall in the holes and whip him. He`ll shoot a laser beam at you that flies VERY slow every 5 secs... if you get hit your stupid.

That being said, his video is incredibly sped up. The Dracula fight is slow paced and easy. I remember not knowing it was the last boss and being very disappointed when i was little.

@sc1zzen: Yea I agree, I`ve watched at least 90% of the stuff he has done. Went to his old site and watched all the AVGN plus all the Board James, and the movie review one he did for a while. Reason this particular video made me lose respect is that his complaints are null and nonexistant... the things that he says looks like he has never actually played the boss and is just reading a script or saying what he watched in a video. Anybody that played it would know what he said was wrong.

Is it possible when your 7, you tried it 40 times, before learning it, or read a magazine on how to do it?

I`m fairly sure AVGN does actually play the games... maybe he just sucks that bad? :}

if u miss the songs in this game,i recommend searching MINIBOSSES in youtube, they play castlevania 2 in rock/instrumental version.

I beat some seriously retarded nintendo games when I was a kid. Not becuase I was skilled but because I played them so goddamn much. I could literally play the first level of ninja gaiden backwards.

I told my mom that I could . She told me not to brag. I sat backwards looking away from the screen and finished the first level. She took my nintendo away for a month and told me to play outside lol .

All that to say, I don`t have the same obsession for nintendo games anymore. I just don`t have the patience. can`t blame the AVGN for having grown up.

I never finished the castlevania games because 1) my friends kept taking them back :P and 2) I would get so mad when I`d get knocked off a ledge I`d stop playing for months on end.
