Brazilian Gangs Shoot Down Police Helico...

Brazilian Drug traffickers shot down a police helicopter Saturday in northern Rio de Janeiro, killing two officers, as it flew over a clash between drug gangs. The dramatic downing comes two weeks after Rio was picked to host the 2016 Olympic games.

i think its terrible what happened to the police and the helicopter.

I dont condone these actions at all, but for some reason i find a small bit of comfort knowing that people have the ability to successfully rise up and fight those in power. I hope that makes sense to some of you who fear the overpowered governments and all the goes with it.

Still RIP to those who died and i do not condone this. Just an off point i thought of.

There are significant disparities between the rich and the poor in Rio de Janeiro. This stuff usually happens when you have slum next to five star resorts and major business developments. Expect this to be hidden from view just like it was during the Beijing Olympics.

The beijing olympics was built on top of the slums so they didn`t have to do much besides put dog and cat meat on hold. I expect they will be doing the same for 2012.
