Beck is retarded, people`s problem with Fox is that they blatantly have their own agenda and beliefs. News should be neutral, only present the facts so people form their own opinions. So congrats Beck for proving both you and Fox need to go.

However commentary should not be denied bias.
Lets not forget that Edward R. Murrow`s biased commentary helped end one of the worst rule-by-scare-tactics phases in world history.

The problem with Fox is that they expect every last one of their personalities to be a corporate mouth piece.
The other news networks have their opinionated blow-hards, but they are relegated to their designated commentary programmes.
Fox has every single anchor yelling and spouting ideological bias. Hell, the on the spot reporters even get in on it.
You can skip Olberman on MSNBC, and still find some properly reported news throughout the day, but that`s just not possible with fox.

If you believe a word out of Glenn Becks mouth, then you should open up a history book, because you`ve completely missed the point of how every hysterical media slut works. At his wages (WAY over $18 million a year), he will dance and sing and do and say ANYTHING to stay in the spotlight. Anything. Truth is utterly inconsequential to him and Fox, it is only a coincidental tool to their profit.

There is no problem with opinion in journalism. It`s deliberate lies and egregious strategic distortion that cross the line.

For all the strong opinions from people like Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Ed Whatsispickle, the fact is they do a good job at being truthful, and while they interpret the facts to support their viewpoint (valid), they neither lie or deliberately distort the words of others. In fact they often willingly and accurately show the counter arguments, while using honest logic and accurate history / information / examples to dispute what they disagree with.

There is such a thing as honest opinionated journalism. Fox is not it. It shouldn`t be hard to see that one side is in the right here, even if you disagree with their conclusions, while the other side are lying sacks of shit.

I am actually happy to see some opinion in journalism. Seasoned commentary is valuable. Murrow made a huge contribution, and I think Keith has too (first mainstream TV guy to actually use "fascism" regarding Bush, among many other examples). As long as they keep it honest, I can handle hearing some opinions.

I really think this whole thing boils down to one thing:

REPUBLICANS ARE PATHETICALLY SORE LOSERS.

Indeed, they have sunk so low it seems they would stop at nothing. That is dangerous and shows an utter diregard for any decency. I can`t understand why anyone would ever respect or trust such an enterprise ever again.

^ NoNamesLeft!, thanks. I try. Dr. Maddow is one of my favorites. I think 90% of the flack she gets is that sore loser bully mentality. She is so so right, and so smart, it makes other people look like fools, so they attack her and try to make her look bad. Well, if there is only one right person in a crowd, there is only one right person. And although she is unapologetic about it, she also isn`t an egomaniac, which is another thing that right wingers disrespect her for: they cheer for the bullies.
