Friday night on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, insisting it's obvious to anybody who has eyes in this country that tea-baggers, the 9-12ers are clearly white power movements led by the Glenn Becks, the Michelle Bachmans, the Rush Limbaughs.

You know, I disagree with most of those conservative groups. But you can`t just go around saying "Well yea that group SAYS their anti-health care but its really a white power group"

I`m not even saying they aren`t racist. They very well might be, but you degrade the entire political process when you start playing that card. NAACP is also a racist group, as part of its function. But in all standards and practices its dealt with as a civil rights group, not as a racially preferential civil rights group.

I love people that disregard information because of how it is titled, or who is saying it, as if that automatically makes it moot.

Information is information people, even if you don`t like the medium it is presented. Ignoring things because of who says it, or because of how it is titled is taking part in wilful ignorance. And that is asking to uninformed.

If a person is a genius at world economics and world policy, but also a racists bastard, would you ignore his or her economic advice/theories/opinions based on his/her racism? Doing so would be taking part in wilful ignorance. And that is retarded. Listen to ideas, then discredit them based on their merit or lack there of.

That said, the title is sensationalist.
