I`m just a little bitter, he hasn`t really accomplished anything yet. I guess I shouldn`t be surprised. After Bush became the president, politics have become a "Special Olympics".

Don`t reward someone until they have accomplished something. Heck don`t reward them at all. You expect them to do their job you pay them for; You don`t do your job, you don`t get paid. Oh well, at the end of the day at least we didn`t get Palin. (I feel better all the sudden?)

Someone look outside for flying pigs, because I agree with clicker01.

However, I`m not ignorant enough to ignore a true sentiment even if its from someone that generally has opposing views to my own.

What surprises me is that anyone in the left or right could support either of the wars in the Middle East at this point. I`m particularly surprised with the left (moderate to extreme) on this.

The fact of the matter is we have to pull out of the region. Period. End of sentence. This isn`t some sort of war we can win. I know people don`t want it to end up like Vietnam, but the problem is that it -already has-.

This is a war with NO clear cut objectives. Not only that, Afghanistan is the -graveyard of Empires-. Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Britain, and USSR... NONE could overwhelm the region.

It almost seems like we`re fuckin` destined to throw our lot in. It`s not like we can -win-. Instead of making good with the locals and having THEM hunt Osama for us we bomb them.

People die, relatives get angry, and now people hate us. Isn`t that fuckin` fantastic.

We gotta` pull out and stop throwing our fellow brothers and sisters into the grinder.

It is an utter disgrace that a man who has done nothing but the opposite for which he is receiving an award is about to have his name written amongst the most important people of our age.

I find it insulting that true patriots and petitioners of peace have been shafted aside to give this unworthy candidate praise. Obama is not a becon of hope, he is not a bringer of world peace, he is like the last presidents before him a man who would rather do nohting and dissapoint no one than do something to try and please someone. The people who made this decision should be fired, in fact they should be maimed.

People who would be more deserving of this, perhaps Benazir Bhutto for her devotion to her country. How about give Carl Sagan a fucking nobel for his open criticism of nuclear war and American poltics during the cold war which caused him to receive death threats etc... But no we give it to this man, a man with a crafty mouth...

SInce when has anyone thought the Nobel Peace Price meant anything more then the exact opposite of peace? That prize goes to mass murderers and those responsible for mass destruction and death.

Winning the Nobel Peace Prize now a days is like admitting your sociopath. Sure you`ll do great things for the status quo, but you`re a demon and you know it.

I would say the same to you. Everyone wants to tout Ron Paul as some big changer.

However, doing some research on what the Constitution Party means and believes reveals something entirely different. Ron Paul is one guy in a long line of people that don`t actually know what the Constitution means.

Anyone can say smart, intelligent things. However, this doesn`t mean they`re going to do it all the time. People voted for Obama for the same reason you support Paul. Guy says some smart things, but when it comes down to it they`re both not what they seem.

This goes for anyone. You just have to make a decision and hope for the best. That`s how it`s always been.

Take a look at the history of the prize and the people who have been awarded with it. You don`t always need to attain peace to get the Nobel Peace Prize, but to represent a strong for working towards peace.

It`s weird how suddenly everyone thinks they`re an expert in the criteria for the Nobel Peace Prize. Stop pointing at Obama and democrats and instead ask the Norwegian panel in charge why they chose him. He`s changed the attitude on the international stage and the reputation of America, that`s good enough for me.

Not-being bush is good enough reason to win, too. I hope they award a nobel to each living president just to keep slapping him in the face.

Ron Paul and many others, caught by surprise that Obama is continuing the military operations in Afghanistan... amazing. If anyone was listening during the campaign, Obama campaigned on the promise he was going to step up efforts in Afghanistan "where we should have been all along" and phase out of Iraq over 16 months and that is EXACTLY what he is doing.
Complaining about somebody doing exactly what he said he would do during his campaign... interesting. I guess we aren`t used to not being lied to.

I would just like to say as a liberal. I am still anti-war and just because someone gets elected doesn`t change my standing that all war of any kind is a bad thing.

And I voted for Nader because I knew Obama would go back on everything he has said.
