If I even dared to go that high INSIDE the building I would most definately wear a parachute on my back. Now, if I`d have to clean the windows I would just scream VERTIGO! and jump of the ledge.

In fact, it`s probably one of the most useful amounts of money ever spent on a building.

it seems like they would make A LOT of money. in America the people that do this kind of work most of the time are immigrants, but they still make good money. This may be in a third world country but there is nothing third world about that building or the people who do business in it. I cant really seem to find any information about the salary of THESE window cleaners, but i would imagine its not a low number

A regular individual will normally make between Dhs. 2,000 (US$ 548) and Dhs. 4,000 (US$ 1,096) per month. You won`t find jobs that pay per hour or companies that will pay wages at the end of each week.

nope what? Employment in the United Arab Emirates doesn`t necessarily have to do with the salary of those window workers. i already knew employment is different in MANY countries, and as i said i realize the country is third world but i wouldn`t say the burj dubai operates like the rest of the country, they have millions to burn and i dont imagine they skimp on window washing

Those guys probably PAID to come to Dubai lured by recruiters and lofty offers only to live in squalor with their passports taken away and working to pay back the loan they took to come to Dubai. They are at the bottom of the barrel. So no, an abundance of wealthy rich people doesn`t mean that the the bottom of the barrel get a decent pay.
