#6 is supposed to be translated as murder instead of kill, so feel free to fight back.

^^ Yeah, I think most atheists would say "Sure, a handful of them are good rules".... but we would also point out that none of them are exclusive to monotheism or even theism.

Do not kill, don`t steal, etc. have been likely been around since Humans gathered in groups of more than 20. The idea that I ignore all the murder, hatred and genocide in the bible just for 4 or 5 "rules" that are common sense anyway....

I agree with LeighCedar. We`d have come to the pertinent rules on our own. We probably already did. I`m fairly certain it was illegal to murder even before Moses supposedly received the commandments.
