It shouldn`t even be a "race" thing. Obama just didn`t end up being the guy for the job. He has been too caught up in the "celebrity" side of the presidency vs. just being the president. I have never seen any other past president on so many talk shows doing interviews over petty things as much as this guy does. It`s as if he has already forgotten what he was voted in to do.

Do your job Mr. President. We don`t care about your favorite flavor of ice cream and I certainly didn`t give a shit about what type of dog you were going to pick as the White House pet. I`m more worried about the fact that this country is rapidly getting flushed down the toilet.

point, Koryo. But I`m gonna play devil`s advocate and say it IS a race thing. Obama`s got the burden to prove all the right-wing racist nutjobs wrong. And he`s not doing any of that--spending much more time trying to appease everybody.

Funny how things turn out. During his campaign, we had the right wingers complaining about his ideal`s, and making all of this propaganda to slow his rush to the white house, and on the other side, we had the liberal`s, praising him as if he were the next jesus... AND NOW? Well he hasn`t really done shit... LOL, both sides had nothing to worry about I guess.

Obama`s doing what he can. Seriously. I agree that I was hoping he had accomplished more by now; the strides that have been made in health care are great. As for his public appearances he was elected in a good part due to his connection with the public and America seems to live by the cult of personality. Lest we not forget who was president last time; a man who will probably be remembered for his lack of humanity and outrageous corporate whoring. But then after all these "stimulus packages" were handed out I don`t know how much hope I have left to hold onto.

You guys who keep spouting Obama has done nothing, he hasn`t done a whole lot but he HAS done a few things. It`s been 10 months, he has over 3 years left and obviously this isn`t going to occur overnight.

Obama WANTS AND IS TRYING to do more, he`s trying to be bipartisan, when clearly the right wing is not going to work with anyone on the left. We have the majority and I hope Obama toughens up to push through health care reform because a defeat there will most likely define his presidency.

Obama knows what needs to be done and he had the pulse of America in the `08 elections, he`s trying NOT to make this country anymore divided and work with Republicans, the REAL party of NO. That`s his problem, his Achilles heal, is trying to work with both sides of the aisle, it`s clearly not going anywhere so he needs to take a stand and push through some real change and reform without the approval of the right.

You hear right wingers bitching that he hasn`t done anything, when before Obama got elected they were supporting everything he`s seeking to "fix." Now that it`s on his plate, the wars have become "Obama`s Vietnam" and failures. Laughable.

Give the guy a break, he is trying to lead the most ignorant nation on the planet. Nobody here is going to be satisfied with him anyways, because of race/politics.
