I agree with garoffolo. Terrorism is a political act. Atheist`s like Dawkins view religion as a blight on humanity and blame it for a lot of what`s wrong with the world. But he won`t attack them over it.

If Muslims came and dominated America and subjected them to humilation for several decades, I guarantee you atheists, christians, hindus whatever would rise up and fight back by any means necessary. Not because of their spiritual beliefs or lack there of but because they believe that they are being oppressed which is an action that`s political in nature.

Uniting under the banner of Christianity, Islam or even atheism (don`t force me to convert) if it came to that would simply be a rallying point to organize an army but the core reason for offensive actions would be political.

It`s the same for Islam. Radical Islam really only gathered steam after the second world war when western nations REALLY started fucking with the muslim world`s politics. Overthrowing democratic regimes, supressing socialist movements and driving people to the one thing that the West endorsed at the time, religious fundamentalists.

That unfair meddling in other peoples affairs was the same meddling that sparked the American revolution against the Brits. They may have chanted one nation under God but they were acting in the name of politics.

Now that the monster has switched sights to the West, suddenly their religion is cooky and evil when it was noble and good when they fought the soviets. Any ideology can be twisted and used for evil period. Stop blaming the religion and blame the fact that if given the chance, douchebags will high jack anything just to get power.

^ Lol, I think you are correct. That is to say imho Bill Maher is a very intelligent man, but the people he had there where just a bit more brain empowered then him, he got IQ served.

Feels good to see so many intelligent people together having a rational debate. It`s like the opposite of Fox News.

Alifeva, I`ve seen you made countless of replies of any video clip involving faith, and it`s always the same. Incoherent rambling about how God is great and we will all go to hell for not believing that. But you`ve outdone yourself now, you just proved or reinforced the idea that all religious nutbags are irrational and dangerous when they are confronted with the truth or at least solid facts. The unknown is not something to fear, it`s something to discover. All you`re achieving now is too further confirm any stereotypical persuasions people have about religious extremist, instead when you should be trying to `educate` people on that matter.

But I have a very big suspicion that all what I wrote here will just fall on deaf ears, proof me wrong.
