For the people who are paranoid about vaccines-- Fine, don`t get one. But if you and your family get sick, and god forbid anyone dies from it, you will only have yourself to blame.

For the people saying the vaccine makes you sick-- No. Just...no. The vaccine tries to prevent against a strain that is predicted to be the most prevalent. The virus CAN and DOES mutate and that mutation is what makes you sick.

All the other conspiracy theories are too laughable to even mention.

Do yourself a favor. Just get the vaccine so you have just a little bit more protection.

no im just saying blood money is blood money no matter how fancy you try to ice the cake. my country (the U.S.) has been bought out by pharmaceutical companies. the FDA does little to screen harmful new age drugs. Inadvertent neurological side effects are skyrocketing this day and age (essentially killing people). And doctors getting paid to push drugs...

it might be a little of a paranoid point of view but sometimes it takes a criminal to think like a criminal to find out whats really going on...one of these days i may be right...and we`ll never know for sure. :-/

^hmmm, it`s kinda like the plot from Vendetta. Alifeva1, I actually agree on the plausibility of your idea. In fact such a scenario would seem inevitable, unless we can reign in corporations and their limitless greed. Who knows the truth behind this particular outbreak. The fact that we are justified to seriously entertain such possibilities is bad enough.

For all you folks above who want to shit on the idea: these companies have the technology, it`s their business to have it. What line has not been crossed in the name of profit? One large social event in Mexico, one aerosol into a ventilator, and you have trillions in profits, and global business opportunity.

I would NEVER say I think that happened this time, but it is technically possible and the motive exists.

History calls that an eventual guarantee.

When a company makes money off the sick, you can be sure that they are not trying to make sure that no one gets sick. They wouldn`t make as much money that way, ans as North American culture has taught us all, there is no limit to how much money you can make and should make. So, those most suited to making money, ie have the easiest time putting humanity asside to make profit over the safety of people, will rise to the top of whatever market or industry they are in and use it to further put profit over people and benefit from it.

Another thing to consider is that most medical facilities, both the ones that do the medical training and the actual medical work, are funded by the big pharma companies. They get all of their studies done by, all their books written by, those who are in favour of the pharma industry as they are a part of it and are heavily funded by it. As aresult, you end up with a biased community of doctors who can only see things through the lens of the pharma industry.

Profit over people = bad.Every single time.

Just to clarify, the student here at Cornell did not die from the flu itself. He was allergic to the medications and died from complications. But Swine Flu is very serious here. But they`re not confirming actual swine flu cases. If you have anything remotely resembling the flu, they mark it off as a H1N1. But using common sense is enough to keep you from getting infected. From the way the media was talking about it, I thought Swine Flu was going to end up like I Am Legend.

"In early 2009 supplies of contaminated vaccine material with Avian flu virus (Influenza A virus subtype H5N1) provided by Baxter International were sent to a series of European laboratories. The deadly H5N1 strain was mixed with the less harmful H3N2 subtype of the seasonal flu virus, and was detected after it killed test animals in a lab in the Czech Republic. Though the serious consequences were avoided by the lab in the Czech Republic, Baxter claimed the failed controls over the distribution of the virus were `stringent` and there was `little chance` of the lethal virus harming humans, apart from its deadly effect."

Baxter is the company making the H1N1 vaccine. They "accidently" mixed together somewhat harmless H3N2 seasonal flu in together with EXTREMELY harmful H5N1 and sent it out to several countries in Europe.

I`m no scientist, but something seems fishy to me.
