What happened to you, Ron Paul? You used to be cool.
Alternative medicines and such are exactly what humanity needs less of.
There are places that test alternative medicines to see which ones work. Wanna know what happens to the ones that do work? They get the title of `medicine`, and get to be used appropriately by medical institutes.

People asking for retarded, unfounded cures from the 12th century from a proper medical facility deserve nothing more than what they ask for - proven-to-fail medical procedure.

I actually am in agreement, but for different reasons. If people think their chances of surviving cancer are better if they get rubbed with magnets than if they get surgery and chemo, then by all means let them commit a suicide they can be satisfied with. It`s odd because things like acupuncture and some herbal remedies HAVE been shown to be great for small medical needs, and yet a chiropractor is considered medically more professional despite the fact that most of the medical community considers them less helpful. So there are stigma`s against more natural forms of treatment, because they belong to a group of treatments that is admittedly mostly horseshit.

That said at least he mentioned that what we have now isn`t capitalism, its corporatism. They`ve put a nozzle on healthcare for the sole purpose of making it more lucrative and now the AMA does everything it can to keep making money.

First of, any money driven system will ALWAYS put money first. It doesn`t matter if it is doctors, internet, games or food. In a money first system, money comes first. That means humans( you know, that`s us) come second. This is ludicrous. As if money, which is bullshit anyways, a fictional device used as a means if trade, mattered in the long run. It doesn`t. What matters is what humans do. what we do with ourselves. Right now money serves to be our masters, when in reality we should be the masters of money.

So, no matter how you try to cut it, as long as you have a profit driven healthcare system, in which corporate entites are responsible for facilitating medical industry, you will have an industry that caters to their money books. IT has to, that`s how the system works.


I suggest, that if you want to learn about how health care actually works, and how in benefits everyone who has it, talk to someone who has it. I have it. I pay $108 a month for my whole family(2 adults 2 kids). That covers everything except dentistry(our system is good, but it`s far from perfect), and elective surgery.

none of this would be an issue if the government only did what it was originally supposed to do: Oversee the military, protect citizens rights, run the courts, and deal with foreign governments. if it only stuck to THAT most of the issues we have today wouldn`t exist

Cadmius, that sort of illusionary thinking is the sort that will make sure that the US never changes. This notion that ," If only the government stayed out of the market the market could regulate itself and everything will be great" is honestly, retarded.

A profit driven system has to put profits first in order to be competitive in order to survive in a profit system. this means bad things for healthcare. This has been shown time and time again.

Profit is the worst motivator out there. Because it motivates on a purely selfish level, and excludes co-operation and altruistic aims.

People like to claim they`re libertarian so they don`t fall into the liberal/conservative slander and hop on this douchebag`s bandwagon. He has a few good ideas, but overall he`s still another conservative, and we will never grow as a nation and head into the future under conservative ideology. In fact, we`d just head backwards from any progress we were able to squeeze in before America hears liberal and shits its collective self.

I swear, sometimes libertarians are the worse. They bash both sides and end up voting conservative every time. Just like the "independents."

MEDICINE! Herbal and fungal medical treatments that prove beneficial become prescription or over-the-counter medicine... Silly Science with all its experiments and proof...

Fines for not having coverage is not a boon to insurance companies... Remove the public option and force coverage, how in the world does that NOT help them... It was proposed during "bipartisan negotiations" by a republican... oops...
