I am not fan of the games (only played the first one, half of it...), but would like more shorts like this one. Dunno about a full length movie. They would have to make dialogue for Master Chief and that would "kill" him if not done right.

I am not sure I would trust hollywood with a full feature movie of this... for the main fact of the past running record of hollywood totally butt f***ing good games with shitty movies... such as street fighter the legend of chun li, and I can pretty much leave it at that...

granted I wish I could see a well done movie of Halo it would be a great movie givin the right precautions are taken and everything else.

From what I remember there was a Halo film in development and I think Neill Blomkamp was involved in it but the two studios funding it have a massive bitching sessions about some rights and the movie fell apart.
Although if they made a halo movie like that it would amazing.

I didn`t like the games either - too childish. But a movie could be cool. Honestly though, I think the only thing it would have going for it would be it`s title.

Still wanting to see a Half-Life movie but at the same time I don`t ever want to see it attempted... just in case.

I`m a huge Half Life fan, but I really have to say that Halo has a FAR superior story.

Granted, the games don`t do a very good job encapsulating it, but together with all the other media forms including graphic novels, books, ARG`s/ radio plays, the story is just awesome and completely relevant.

Half life is cool because it`s just trippy as shit. I mean what the fuck is up with G-man? Weird time traveler dude? That`s cool and all, but it`s very childish... Halo really strives to stick to sci-fi and not tried very much to avoid sci-fantasy.

yes neil blomkamp was supposed to make a halo movie but the studios/producers/halo ownsers had conflicting ideas and it was cancelled. so in the end, blomkamp got support from some other ppl to do district 9 instead.

Steven Speilberg might be the director for the Halo movie, a new script was written and Speilberg really likes it and is trying to get onto the project. Gonna be Halo : Fall of Reach which was the first novel, never read it though but heard good things.
