Take an average mix of people, and more of them will side with a pack of emotional conservative lies, and the greedy swindle sold with it, than will support the perfectly crafted logic and truth of a fair intelligent solution (which is sadly often more boring).

^this. Conservatives have 3 extra fundamental instinctive moral channels than liberals. They are group loyalty, deference to authority, and purity. Exactly the emotional strings we see played over and over in these debates. Those are precisely what gets appealed to by the emotional argument over the logical one.

And it`s also why liberals are actually more rational and accurate than conservatives in many debates.

Worst aspect of this is that conservatives are good people, but fall prey to vicious con men who lead them by their instincts, instead of honest fact and logic. Fox News...
