A bear that wandered into a sunken skateboard park and became trapped was rescued after officials lowered a ladder in so it could climb out.
Police said the bear spent the night stuck in the park — located in Colorado — because it could not climb the steep sides to get out.
Workers from the Parks and Recreation Department lowered a long ladder into the recessed concrete and the animal eventually climbed out.
The bear suffered no injuries.
