When soccer moms start frequently shooting cops to death in front of their kids, I`ll have sympathy for this cop`s violent and impatient exercise of his authority.

Until such time, she posed no credible danger to him, BUT HIS USE OF A TAZER TO CONTROL HER CARRIES A KNOWN RISK OF DEATH, AS WELL AS GUARANTEED SEVERE TORTUOUS PAIN.

It is unarguably disproportionate and cruel.

The worst part about these stories is the cops never go to jail they just get suspended with/without pay and maybe get fired in the end. Justice is never served when it comes to police getting theirs.

The Tazer is supposed to be the alternate to firing your weapon, so when you tazer someone it should be in similar conditions as using a gun.

the pattern i continue to see is, cop issues command, person hesitates or doesn`t immediately comply, cop tazers. that to me is a sign of a person who shouldn`t be allowed a weapon, i mean have some patience, I`m sure the cops of 15 years ago could handle the soccer moms just fine without the use of a tazer.

the tazer shows it`s true use in disabling a situation such as a junkie gone amok, a person wielding a knife, etc. all these situations would pre tazer have to either be solved by putting the officer or the perp in significant danger, the tazer was not made to threaten ppl with to get compliance because it`s "not lethal".

Honestly she`s lucky to get away with just a tazing, there was a significant threat to that officer and i wouldnt have been suprised if he drew his gun instead.

Seriously america, you have the most fucked up police system of all the developed countries, when you fill your police departments with unemployable rejects what else can you expect, in most other countries its a difficult career to get into and both honourable at the same time, im sure all you need to become a yankie pig is yo fill out a sheet of paper and go through a weeks training, fuck i am sick of constantly seeing shit like this, over here (australia), they were considering not allowing officers to carry tazers alongside their firearms, i feel 100% comfortable allowing our police to carry tazers because unlike you they are not complete fuckups.

I don`t think it was necessary to taze her, but why in the hell did she get out of the car in the first place? Has a cop ever shown you video of you getting a speeding ticket or running a red light? Fuck no, so why she would think this cop would is beyond me. This woman isn`t doing a damn thing to help her cause, resisting the cop when he told her to get out, then her wanting to get back into the vehicle after he told her to stay out. This would have never happened had she just stayed in the vehicle in the first place.

Fact is, if you get pulled over, you stay in your vehicle, do what he says and then after a few minutes, a ticket or not, you drive away. Failure to do this can cause more problems than a simple ticket is worth.
