I don`t know why they imply they are guarding the physical cards like its currency in the beginning of the clip.

it`s not like a card is worth even a penny unless you know enough personal info about a specific card and can activate it... anyways, they can also just simply pull the plug on a card from a datacenter..

^I believe it is the process of making the card that they are guarding, not the actual cards themselves. They don`t want all of the anti-theft measures to be known, and thus be able to be replicated.

RockGuitarist: either that, or it`s the fact that they`re guarding the cards themselves because of said anti-theft measures already being in place. If someone were to take any of the blank cards, they`d already have the UV marker, the little security chip, the hologram..... all they`d need is hardware to write to the magnetic strip, the ability to imprint the card, and... well... someone else`s card information, and they`d have a completely legit looking copy of someone elses credit card.

the reason for all the "security" is to keep up the whole illusion that credit cards are "secure", however thanks to chip and pin its easy to steal your money and credit card details (which was the point of it!) the old way it was a signiture, hard to copy and the bank was liable for any loss. With chip and pin, there is no signisure, a card reader costs about £20, anybody can use the card, and you are liable for losses, yeah much more secure!! (see what they done there?)

also there wasnt (and still isnt) little machine`s that can steal you signiture, the details on your chip however? very easy!

Just wait until they start using that shit on our passports!! lol

(also worth mentioning that the mythbusters where threatened with legal action for even considering testing how secure they are, becasue well, they are not even slightly secure!)
