A woman was forced to hide in her hotel bathroom after an allegedly intoxicated naked Australian man wandered into her New Zealand room and fell asleep.
The woman was staying at a hotel in Queenstown with her husband when the incident occurred.
Local Sergeant Steve Watt said a 29-year-old Australian man was taken home by police in a dressing gown on the weekend after being woken by hotel staff.
"He was a bit surprised that there were two people in his room and he was butt naked," Mr Watt told the New Zealand’s Southland Times.
The man said that a woman had escorted him to the hotel but he had wondered out of her room throughout the night and into another room, occupied by the husband and wife, and went to sleep.
The couple alerted the hotel, and the man was not charged.
“It was far too funny,” Mr Watt said.
