Boru, Reyka, Chopin, Belvidere, Ollifant, Effen, Level, 42 Below, Stoll (and Stolichnaya Elit - never had though cuz it`s expensive), Jewel of Russia, Xellent, Jean-Marc, Imperia, ... all very smooth sipping vodkas around the 40% mark. Some cheap, some expensive. I don`t class Grey Goose as a good vodka. It`s fans are rich kids that wouldn`t be able to tell the difference between it and Smirnoff anyway.

And yeah, this is scripted. The "common man" with no idea of vodka would pin Absolut as one of the finest. Level is the vodka made by the same comapny as Absolut. Level is amazing, but not affordable. I would like to see his vodka go up against the list I just gave. It might actually be really smooth, but it would fall short of most of these if it could be compared at all.

Vodka? Go Polish.

#4 looks like Popov--and dear god I have never tasted anything as vile as Popov. I use it to cook sometimes, but that`s it.

And ditto on the fakeness. No way in hell ANYBODY would take a risk on their reputation like that, especially prominent music moguls.

And I`m sad to say, when i go to clubs where you pay entry fee and then you get free drinks for the night, some places serve that.

I did a blind taste test of vodkas with my family once. We were testing Belvedere, Stolichnaya, Absolut, Level, Grey Goose, and Seagram`s. Surprisingly we all picked Seagram`s as being the best, which also happened to be the cheapest.

I personally think labeling and brand recognition screwing with your brain`s perception has far more to do with how something actually tastes. Best food/drinks/etc I`ve ever had have been in the nastiest cheapest restaurants (or shacks) you find in the middle of nowhere, not the places where jackets are required.

For those talking about Gray Goose, I think it`s really shitty. Well I think vodka is shitty anyway, but I enjoyed Vox wayyyy better than the goose, and they`re about the same price.
