Ok.. that`s a mind fuck.. so, when he comes back in time i get the argument he`s the inventor that`s why he came back and why the first guy can`t and will not invent the device in that timeline, simply cannot happen. But was it his intention to kill himself maybe to see if an experiment would come true? Or just a repercussion of suicide?

I think the intention itself manifested the (in this case) third reality whereby him thinking or intending to jump back in time with no head indeed causes the headless body to appear.. but that`s it. He`s dead, so indeed this third reality can exist because now these fuckers have a body in the tub which means he probably won`t do it in this third timeline (provided he knows it is himself)

So the first poor bastard is destined to meet his future inventor self, then later while waiting for boiling eggs, have that same douche bag appear already dead.

Bitter sweet.
