How could a public market compete with a budget-less government option?

This is why UPS and FedEx don`t compete with the US Postal service for regular mail. they cant compete with 40 cents a stamp but no one bothers to consider the 2 Billion they went over budget in a single year.

Olberman is spot on though in regards to lobbying. Back in the day congressman and senators where not career politicians and didn`t hinge their entire careers on re-election like they do now. its because of this that we have given pharma and insurance companies subsidies, tax cuts, and the like.

NO BODY NEEDS A PUBLIC OPTION. What we NEED is to get government and its subsides and tax cuts OUT of health care to give small start ups the ability to compete. that`s what capitalism is. that what makes services good and prices fall. COMPETITION. that`s what a free market is. look at what the free market does to computers and cell phones. its not supernatural or simply by chance that the same circumstances dont hold true to health care. the health care system is the way it is because all the big players are all in cahoots.

i know that what we have is broken. and i know that we need to change it. i know that people are sick and dying and at the whims of bureaucrats and paper pushers but people, you need to STOP listening to people like Olberman and everyone else on TV and pick up a fucking history book.

The competition you prize so highly only undermines the quality of the healthcare provided. aND makes the whole industry about PR and advertising.

Are you saying that you would get rid of the US Postal Service and let UPS and FedEx take over? How do you expect better service and a better price if those companies cannot compete already?

Maybe YOU should take a history lesson. Obviously Capitalism (aka Parasitism) has given rise to coperate influence in government. That`s how we got in this mess in the first place.

You want free markets? Then help our government dismantle the coperate monopoly that is strangling the spirit of choice and options.
