I don`t think so, Asberger`s is a disorder on the same continuum with Autism, just not as severe. It is a biological disorder. Maybe her upbringing contributed towards her love of objects, but i reckon its more likely that was also born with this. Her brain is wired to love objects, and that will never change and i doubt its something that can be altered psychologically.
Interesting and sad, but from what i could see, i think she was happy with herself.
