ACTULLY!, even though samurai Champloo is not a show about hard rock it is centered around hip hop music, which is why Mugen had break dancing moves integrated with his fighting style. This show was made by the same person as Cowboy Bebop, and that show was centered around Jazz music. So even though ancient Japan may have ancient Japanese music, Samurai Champloo is to have hip hop. ;-) GG

I don't agree with the first post, I don't even think the argument that an anime music video requires japanese music makes sense. It's just personal taste, and no one is going for historical authenticity in a music video based on a cartoon.. Upgraded, you sound so sure of your anime music video expertise that i'd like to see you actually direct your own and add it here.

I give this music video a 2. I'm not voting it low for the choice of music, it was just directed very poorly. To the author I just want to say that while watching this, I felt as though I was just seeing Samurai Champloo clips while Slipknot played in the background. My favorite anime music videos tell a story through the music, and the clips are placed in sequence to the music, otherwise, the video and sound just do not come together well. I don't think the choice of music is bad at all. Just keep watching some and making them and you'll improve.

most anime is gay I agree, Naruto and shit. This is one of the 'good' ones however. Blood, amazingly done fight scenes and not all kiddy and gay. Music video sucked horse dick however!

i feel that the song and show are both great. however,that being said i have to say that they are completely different in terms of what is happening. the show is based of of rap/hip hop so doing a metal song wouldnt be a wise choice. the only rock band that has a song suitable for this is Linkin Park with "nobodies lisening" but even that song doesnt do the trick. but i give credit to whoever made it just for the fact that they took a chance to appease the audience, and anyone who disgraces's their name is a coward if they won't make a video of there own to prove they are supirior. (these are just my thoughts on the matter. take them with a grain of salt.)
