I just can`t wrap my head around this premise. I`ve seen enough footage from this movie that I should have a more complete idea about the concept by now - however it still doesn`t completely gel. I think it has to do with the way the humans seem to react towards the aliens - almost as if it was an everyday annoyance - comparable with massive traffic jams (as supposed to finding irrefutable proof that we are not the only ones in the universe!!!!!!). Just a wee bit too blaze if you ask me.

^ It`s a pretty simple idea reflecting humanity and our perception to the world around us. Just think of it as role reversal. The aliens are comparable to the africans whilst the africans are comparable to the rest of the world. All of a sudden, the africans become racist to the aliens who become the lowest valued species on the planet. The africans were in a similar perceived position during apartheid, and this story simply highlights the visitors fight to be valued.

Pretty interesting concept. Don`t expect an action movie - it`s more brain candy.
