Dolphins and Humans

"Is the link between dolphins and humans as profound as some may believe, or is it just a natural mammalian instinct to protect others like it? Also, the extraordinary benefits of dolphin hearing are explained." (From BBC show "Supernatural".) More dolphins here: spikedhumor.com/articles/125809/Fluid.html

I`m wondering how they filmed this part, they got some people to go in the water, threw a shark in there and hoped that the dolphin would ram it away?

Dolphins and humans are the only 2 mammals that have sex for pleasure.

I think it is a little of both of the said reasons, we look similar on the inside, and they are curious about us. The similarity on the inside, may trigger their instincts to protect their own, and the curiosity plays the other role.

the military has been studying dolphin sonar for some time and even training them to be spies. they have an nose-cone that dolphins can use and it actually shoots a bullet when they depress the nose-cone on a enemy. The dolphin squadron also has the highest "awol" rate out of all military as well rofl. I saw this in the Best kept secrets of the military documentary if you wanna check it out.

Let`s not forget that a dolphin, like any other mammal on the planet, will most likely attack us if it`s not used to be around humans and they are more efficient than sharks. Now there`s an idea for a movie: dolphins with rabies attacking unsuspecting divers. With freekin` lasers on their freekin` heads of course.

Vizreel isnt wrong, dolphins have been known to attack people.

one example i can think of in particular was a dolphin that loved human females but would batter and bruise human males.

it was a wild dolphin, but had regular contact with people.

its kind of like stampy the elephant, some animals are just assholes.

I think they like us and many other animals have the capacity for compassion. If we see a scared injured dog, we feel empathy for it, and those who aren`t sick in the head want to help it. It could be the same with the dolphins. They see humans in distress and can relate to the feeling so they help.
