im just glad to see Depp doing a movie where he isnt just playing his Hunter S Thompson character AGAIN. the man is talented but for crying out loud, charlie and the chocolate factory then 4 Fing pirate movies. even his once apon a time in mexico character had touches of it. gimme some Inspector Frederick Abberline or Ichabod Crane.

I can understand how some actors wouldn`t want to see themselves on screen because they would constantly find errors and obsess over them, while everyone else doesn`t see them.

^When I had a band, and we made recordings, demos, EPs, etc... I would HATE listening to it. You always find something wrong that you feel you could of done differently/better. I imagine this is the same thing.

Of course, my band was never, ahem, GOOD. :P

Depp is over rated as an actor.
He`s a charming individual as well as being charismatic but his acting skills are mediocre.

I`m under no dilusion that this will be a popular opinion, but it is my opinion none the less.

Vincent D`Onofrio, now there`s an actor. I think Depp is okay but doesn`t really pull me into a movie with great interest, inspiration or anyhing really, Donnie Brasco is still one of my favourites though.
