Neuroscience Mind Reading

Neuroscience has learned much about the brain's activity and its link to certain thoughts. As Lesley Stahl reports, it's now possible, on a basic level, to read a person's mind.

^Sorry the clip is about mind reading not mind control if you hear voices, you probably always have hear them anyway :P

What I wondering is when the research progress, we can probably introduce electrical signals into such locations in the brain, matrix direct download! :D

^Highly implausible, each person has almost an unique way of processing information and to be able to induce passive learning let alone introducing new data would imply the need of an extraordinary gigantic database of basically each person on the planet. Reading a brain is completely different from teaching a brain. Mind-reading technology is nothing new, it`s currently used for completely paralyzed people to communicate, the only difference between that and what is shown in this video is the tool used. Also learn how grammar works, would you.

at first, I thought this might be cool, but by the end of the video im actually quite mad. People`s thoughts should be to themselves. The clunky machine now doesn`t worry me. What worries me is application when the hardware becomes more compact and available. Theres some things that we should not really research because as a species we are not mature enough to handle it. While there could be helpful uses for this technology, we all know that it will be used to fuck us over in no time and that cock sucker scientist is getting a hardon at the thought of it.

Think about it, the time we create a machine that thinks thousands of times faster than we and is in every way smarter than we, we will become like the dinosaur. We give birth to the next evolutionary step, machines. I don`t think they might not even count as machines anymore, with the standards we have for something to be a machine.

I think it`s unavoidable, I believe biological organisms are just one step to a more advanced "life", and machines are the next step...they don`t age, they don`t sleep, they are free from our boundaries of physical bodies and problems.
