absolutely wrong and ridiculous? how can you debate that obama is taking us towards socialism as they buy banks and car manufacturers? execs at BofA just said that Bernanke and Palson threatened them if they didn`t guy Wachovia and take bail out money when they didnt need it. And whats this about not destroying our country and the dollar? how can you debate that? its obvious. you think the federal reserve can make a trillion dollars in a day and start buying our own fing t bills because China wont and it not have any negative effect? are you fucking daft? this comes down to basic logic and arithmetic. if your economy is a service based economy with a fiat currency based on a fractional reserve banking system, and all of your purchasing power comes from foreign interests investing in your debt, then they stop buying your debt, what possible outcomes are there besides economic catastrophe? none, that`s how many. people are abut to have tons of money, but it wont have any purchasing power

people have this incorrect notion that we power the world economy, its a joke, a scam. Schiff put is the best; we arent the engine of the global economic train, we are the caboose. of course, this sounds crazy and outlandish considering the past decades of economic prosperity, and people are convincing themselves that everything will bounce back. not this time.

I do like Shepard and hate FoxNews as a whole. That email was a bit angry and the guy needs a chill bill, but he did have vaild points.

I`m black. I voted for Obama in the primaries. I waited in line for 5 hours to vote for him in the general election, because I felt he was the lesser of two evils. Bottom line is... right now...I can`t see the lesser. I just see the evil.

The roles have reversed in the movie that is our media. The show must go on! Only difference is the mask worn by the puppet directing the action.

I`m seeing the same old bullshit I was seeing in the Bush administration unfold, just at an accelerated rate with a lot of pretty words with empty meaning accompanying it. Shit loads of money delved out by the American Taxpayer directly to the pockets of the rich with no "trickle down" effect. Billions of dollars given to the banks in the hopes that they can lend it to the American public at interest, and continue their policies of enslavement through debt. The banks have refused this offer in favor of increasing their power by buying smaller banks, and lobbyist to lobby against regulation with their bailout cut.

Inflation just over the horizon, which hurts the lower income people most, and unemployment still rising as a result of the squandered bailout debt bestowed upon our children. Those little tax cuts given to us wont mean shit when that inflation hits. But hey, high unemployment means high recruitment rates for the armed services, which will help us with our empire building in Afghanistan.

Not a damn thing being done about the patriot act to restore our freedoms, but plenty being done to make us forget. Every day they talk about how Obama`s getting those bad people that did the torture and all the bad things during the Bush addministrations reign, so that stupid bandwagon riding Americans can feel like everything is ok now and go back to watching "So you think you can dance", "Dancing with the stars", "American Idol" and all that other retarded bullshit they use to escape the horrifically mundane reality that is their life. I know that was a run on sentence... Fuck you. Anyways what I`m trying to say is the agenda moves forward, they just have somebody better doing their public speaking for them now.

What`s really scary to me about this clip is that they`re even using Fox News in their democratic ass kissing now. It has always been disturbing to me the degree to which the mainstream media has fallen in line for Obama, even before voting for him. But this... I can`t even fucking believe I just saw that.

Normal people will say outrageous things in emails/blogs/forums. Its the anonymity, or perceived anonymity at least. You take those same people and get them to say that stuff in a public forum and they would tone it down big time.

I honestly wonder why "socialism" is, largely, a pejorative, in the US. No country on this planet has ever been truly socialist nor capitalist; all countries, with "democratic" modes of government, blend the two ideologies to varying degrees. The US has unquestionably been closest example of a true laissez-faire economy that the modern world has ever seen, but has not been free of its problems. The current "economic situation" clearly attests to such.

Moreover, when dumbass Fox News reporters continue to bash "socialism," at a time when a nation needs to collectively reevaluate itself and be open to new ideas, I get a bit disheartened.
