Nineteen-year-old stripper Elaine Ivanowski is suing Quabbin Regional High School after she gave a lap dance to one of her high school teachers and got into a romantic relationship with another.
Ivanowski's lawyer Richard J. Rafferty says that she should have received counselling once it was revealed that she was romantically involved with 36-year-old teacher John Monfredo Jr.
Ivanowski says that instead of getting the help she needed, a teacher she trusted with her secret asked her on date, while another teacher visited the strip club where she worked.
Monfredo told a local newspaper that he really was in love with his former student, but did not know whether others at the school were aware of the affair.
Rafferty accuses school officials of allowing Ivanowski to stay in a relationship she should have been protected from. He goes on to say that Monfredo should have been removed from the school.
According to Rafferty, Ivanowski was under such duress that she was unable to take exams, and she was banned from attending graduation ceremonies.
