Handfish are not ancestors of tetrapods (four footed land animals) but show convergent evolution (http://www.rationalrevolution.net/articles/understanding_evolution.htm).



Nice try, though. But, I guess you just did something that Intelligent Designers and others do: look at something and assume a simple conclusion without really looking in depth into it...I guess all people have faults.

I don`t think the first poster meant handfish are ancestral to tetrapods. Merely a notion (albeit leetified) against creationist position that fish could never have evolved legs since they don`t have use for them, which is clearly false.
