^ Homosexuality is condemned many, many times in the Bible.

Hell, God `sent fire from the heavens` and destroyed two entire cities (Sodom and Gomorrah) because homosexuality was rampant there.

Beyond this, the Bible goes on to state that marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman, nothing else.

This is primarily why you see so much resistance to Gay Marriage in the US.

I unfortunately had to be force-fed this religion for nearly 18 years of my life. Church 4 times a week. Fun fun.

^ You know, the bible doesn`t actually say marriage is only to be between a man and a woman.

You can read that into it, but no where does it say "don`t marry two men" or "ONLY marry some one of the opposite sex".

But most CHristians don`t follow 2/3 of their own rules anyway, so unless they are willing to stone upiddy teens or kill their wives for wearing a poly-cotton blend, they really can`t get up on their high horse about needing to follow the bible.

The idea that the masses can vote on the rights of a certain group of the population, giving them less rights then the rest is absolutely retarded. That is the fundamental failure of democracy. It only works if everyone involved a) knows what is real b) has an education to warrant their democratic voice c) and knows what is relevant.

The US`s version of democracy is simply mob rules where opinion is more important then fact. It`s fucking retarded, as is the US governmental system.

Oh, and the bible is a nonsensical book of myths and flat out lies.

If you have actually taken any Seminary Schooling at a reputable university you learn that key things in the bible have no historic baring, and have nothing to do with the writings of the true original christians. The Holy trinity, teh crucifixtion and the virgin birth are all things that were added to the mix long after the so called Jesus fellow died.

It`s a sham folks. Voting based on it`s teachings is about as absurd as voting based on the teachings of Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter.

Cheney is talking in regards to law, not religion. Marriage in some countries can be between a Man and many Women in law and religion, so no, between a Man and Woman is not the only definition. Not that i support any, I actually don`t care what so ever.

you can`t have a priest or a religious ceremony for this ppl only some papers from the government saying you are married thus making it less meaningful and different from normal`s ppl`s marriage.

what about a gay family adopting kids ?
i find the idea of a little boy having 2 gay dads pretty fucking repulsing as i don`t see the kid having any choice in the matter.

As to the idea of a kid being raised by two gays as being repulsive, it isn`t nearly as repulsive as fools like you having a say in anything. You are deluded by religion and cultural biases and your opinion on the matter should be moot. Facts and reason, logic and freedom is al that matters. In that regard, it doesn`t matter who gets married, it matters only htat everyone be allowed. It`s called freedom bitch, look it up.

-Ahhhh Only "normal" people can get married. No weirdo then right? I think we could make an argument that you can`t get married Blue...not normal enough.

People really need to educate themselves before they start spouting off their useless opinions.
This is a legal issue, NOT a religious issue. Churches already do marry gay people. It happens, regularly. Its just not a legally binding marriage. Gay people want the rights that come along with a marriage. They are not trying to sneak into your church to try and make you feel "creeped out".
You can think its repulsive Blue, but that`s not an argument...that`s just you being a bigot.
As Nerdicus said, I am repulsed by the Idea of you having children...does that mean you shouldn`t be allowed?
